Live Photography is real photography |
LYNDEN — Sublime landscape photography and video of the Pacific Northwest, along with live music, comes to the Jansen Art Center as a one-time exhibit at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.
The multimedia presentation of our regional mountains, rivers, beaches and the Salish Sea — photography of John D’Onofrio and Lance Earhart (with video by Brett Baton) — is accompanied by a visit of Native American flute master Gary Strikeouts. A reception with the artists follows.
Gary Strikeouts is a world-class musician and recording artist who has performed worldwide (including a performance at the White House), playing traditional indigenous music, jazz and his own flute meditations. His music was featured in the Ken Burns documentary “Lewis and Clark: Journey of the Corps of Discovery” and on the PBS Documentary “Desert Dreams.”
The photography of D’Onofrio and Earhart will highlight the beauty of the Northwest. The combined experience of their projects has been featured in numerous mediums, including on ABC and NBC through the National Parks Service and also in museums and galleries across the country.
